Stockton University Atlantic City Campus – Phase II

This second phase of the Stockton University Atlantic City Campus is located on Atlantic Avenue, opposite O’Donnell Memorial Park, and just two blocks from the first buildings that comprise Stockton’s expansion into Atlantic City. Thriven Design is providing architecture and interior design services for this new Student Housing building, working in collaboration with both the developer and the university facilities staff. The 0.91-acre site is comprised of five existing lots which have been consolidated into a single property, with frontage on Atlantic Avenue, Providence Avenue, and Hartford Avenue. An existing 6-story warehouse structure will be demolished as part of the project to clear the site for the new building.
The project consists of six stories of student housing (107 units / 416 beds) to support the growing needs of the satellite campus location in Atlantic City. Operations and student-life amenity spaces are primarily located on the ground floor, where the plan creates an amenity courtyard space with landscaping and hardscaping at the interior of the site. The 134,539 sf building is cold-formed metal framing above a Type I podium, with its main entrance facing the park, and a service entrance from the Hartford Ave side street.
