Thriven Design announces completion of the ‘We Are Mantua – Ten Years Later’ Neighborhood Plan

Thriven Design is proud to announce the completion of the ‘We Are Mantua – Ten Years Later’ Neighborhood Plan. Led by our Planning Studio in collaboration with Community Capacity Builders, this new plan for the Mantua neighborhood in West Philadelphia marks the culmination of a 15-month, community-driven effort spearheaded by Mt. Vernon Manor CDC and funded by the Regional Foundation. Building on the award-winning ‘We Are Mantua! Transformation Plan’ completed in 2013, the updated plan sets the stage for another decade of inclusive growth and opportunity in the community.

Throughout the planning process, our planning team collaborated closely with Mantua residents and stakeholders through a series of hands-on activities, including an open house, online surveys, visioning sessions, and a neighborhood walk. The  ‘We Are Mantua – Ten Years Later’ Neighborhood Plan brings together city leaders, residents, and local community groups in shaping a shared vision for Mantua’s future and set shared goals and implementation strategies around public safety, housing, youth development, the physical environment, and civic engagement.
