Thriven Design is pleased to announce the elevation of Al DeLuca, AIA, LEED AP; Christopher J. Panella, Assoc. AIA; and Ryan Wolfe, PE, to the role of Principal at Thriven Design. In the Principal role, and as a part of Thriven Design’s senior executive leadership team, they will manage client relationships and project delivery, strategically grow the business of the firm, and mentor and develop Thriven’s team of 50 architects, engineers, planners, and interior designers.

Al DeLuca, AIA, LEED AP, joined the firm in 2008 and has served as Associate Principal and Director of Project Services prior to his elevation to Principal. Through his extensive experience with affordable multifamily residential design, Al has gained a reputation for cultivating long-term client relationships, providing expert project management, and supporting project teams with deep knowledge of affordable housing. He is known for his attention to detail, innate ability to develop working solutions to project roadblocks, and skill at training new and junior staff members in architectural design technology, BIM, and studio best practices.

Christopher J. Panella, Assoc. AIA, joined the firm in 2000, bringing with him professional experience in carpentry, drafting, the systems furniture industry, and market-rate and multifamily housing for national and local development companies. At Thriven Design he expanded his focus to affordable housing, mixed-use buildings, adaptive reuse, and asset preservation projects. Chris is known for his relationship-building and comprehensive knowledge of the full project life cycle.  Prior to his elevation to Principal, Chris served as Associate Principal in our leadership team.

Ryan Wolfe, PE, joined the firm in 2010, and is Thriven Design’s Director of Engineering. Prior to his elevation to Principal, Ryan served as Associate Principal and head of Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering at Thriven Design. In his leadership roles, Ryan provides technical guidance, project-level direction, and leadership to Thriven Design’s in-house mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineers. His design expertise spans assisted living facilities, multi-family residential complexes, educational facilities, student housing, light commercial and office renovations, commercial kitchens, community centers, municipal buildings, and a variety of medical and laboratory facilities.
