Camp Salute

Camp Salute is a new affordable housing community and a joint venture between the People for People Foundation of Gloucester County and Conifer Realty LLC to provide permanent housing for low- to moderate-income families with a Veteran Preference. It is the first and only community in the United States built to provide permanent housing to veterans, their families, and the surviving spouses of veterans. Camp Salute offers 76 one and two bedroom apartments and townhomes that include fully equipped kitchens with Energy Star appliances and fixtures. A community room, smart card laundry center, computer lab, as well as 24-hour emergency maintenance, shopping, dining, and public transportation are all at the fingertips of the residents. Centrally located on site is the Camp Salute Clubhouse which provides a community room with patio, laundry facilities, and management offices for all residents. A portion of the Clubhouse building serves as the headquarters for the People for People Foundation, a Veteran Support Organization that provides social services, personal, professional and creative development programs to Veteran residents within the community and throughout Gloucester County. People for People provides workshops and support groups, addressing PTSD and abuse issues; they assist with access to all Veteran benefit programs. Federal government accredited claims agents will periodically be on-site along with other additional veteran service organizations.
