In his role as Managing Principal for Practice & Performance, Matt steers professional practice, coordinates seamless project delivery and knowledge management, guides financial matters, and safeguards legal and risk management, in addition to overseeing various other vital aspects of our business.

As Managing Principal since 2022, Matt advanced Thriven Design’s position in affordable multifamily and student housing markets and led the firm to one of its most award-winning years on record.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Matt has amassed a wealth of experience in the planning, design, and construction of diverse multifamily residential projects. These projects range from large-scale new construction to the meticulous renovation of existing structures, all executed with a keen focus on the integration of sustainable design and construction techniques and materials.

Matt has a passion for integrating elements of energy-efficiency and sustainable design into every project he is a part of, Matt designed the first LEED® Silver on-campus student residence project in the state of New Jersey. He has led the efforts toward a LEED® Gold renovation of an 85-year-old apartment building in Philadelphia, and was responsible for the successful completion of a LEED® Silver flagship supportive housing facility, also in Philadelphia, which was the first project in the state of Pennsylvania to earn the United States EPA ENERGY STAR™ Multifamily High Rise designation.
