Pennrose, Thriven Design, kick off renovations at Neumann North

Thriven Design was pleased to join Pennrose, project leadership, and Philadelphia officials, for the project kickoff for Neumann North on Monday, October 20.

Thriven Design is providing professional architecture and MEP engineering services for the LIHTC-funded renovation of Neumann North, an affordable senior residence at 1741 Frankford Ave., in the Fishtown section of North Philadelphia. Neumann North provides 67 one-bedroom senior apartments to older adults aged 62 and over. The community features an on-site doctor’s office, clubhouse, community room, and laundry. Renovations to the residence include appliance and energy efficiency upgrades; repairs to units and common areas, and facade.

Neumann North is the latest in a long history of project collaborations between Pennrose and Thriven Design. The two firms have worked together on affordable housing new construction and renovation for more than 30 years. Their shared portfolio in Philadelphia includes renovations to FOP Senior in Somerton; Good Shepherd Senior, a new affordable senior construction in Overbrook; and Wynne Senior, also in Overbrook.

A March, 2027, completion is anticipated for renovations at Neumann North.
