Apartments at New Market West

The Apartments at New Market West is the second phase of a mixed-use development located at 59th and Market Streets in Philadelphia. This project is designed to help address the critical need for affordable workforce housing in the Haddington neighborhood in West Philadelphia, where Mission First has focused much of their recent development efforts. This five-story, mid-rise building consists of four (4) floors of residential housing over a one-story, non-combustible podium which includes additional apartments as well as building amenities and a multipurpose room with kitchen. The project will be transformative for the community, creating an asset that supports long-term residents by creating much-needed affordable housing while spurring private sector investment.

The building features 41 units of family rental housing within the 51,000 SF space, with 28 one-bedroom units and 13 two-bedroom units. Six (6) of the units are accessible “Type A” units for those with mobility impairments, while two (2) of the apartments are accessible for those with hearing and visual impairments.
