As part of the City of Orange Central Redevelopment Plan, where low to moderate income households can live and work, the community is located between Parrow Street, Central Place, Wilson Place and Oakwood Avenue. This ‘ready to grow’ metropolitan area has easy access to several transit stations and local bus routes. This phase included forty-two (42) affordable family units housed in a four-story mid-rise building (Wilson Place), as well as an additional sixteen (16) units housed in a three-story family towns-over-flats building (Parrow Street) located on a separate lot. Two (2) units are fit out to be accessible ‘Type A’ (per the NJ Barrier Free Code) units for those with mobility impairments. The other first floor stacked flat and the remaining units in the four-story portion are designed to be handicap adaptable ‘Type A’ units. Two (2) of the total dwelling units are fit out to be accessible for those with hearing and visual impairments (H&VI units).
