West Orange Senior Housing

Thriven Design is providing architectural, engineering, and energy program administration expertise for the design and construction of West Orange Senior Housing, an age-restricted affordable community in the Township of West Orange. The new community replaces an aging library originally built in the 1950’s and transforms the site into a modern community with 65 affordable apartments. The apartments are comprised of 61 one-bedroom units, averaging 650 SF each, and 4 two-bedroom units, averaging 875 SF each. Residents will have access to on-site parking, modern amenities, supportive services, and age-friendly features. Five permanent units will be dedicated for individuals who are experiencing homelessness.

West Orange Senior Housing officially broke ground in December 2023, and completion is expected for the third quarter of 2024.
