Congratulations to Our New Senior Associates and Associates!

Al DeLuca, RA, LEED® AP, Senior Associate, Director of Project Services

With more than 15 years of experience designing housing at Thriven Design, Al’s expertise covers a variety of typologies including single-family, multi-family, and senior residences. His attention to detail and innate ability to conquer project roadblocks has allowed Al to become a successful Project Manager, and an invaluable member of the firm – both to his colleagues and clients alike. In addition to his role as Senior Associate, Al also serves as the firm’s Director of Project Services, a position that leverages his technical expertise and proficiency as a BIM Manager to provide oversight to Thriven Design’s project management processes, production standards and knowledge sharing.

Christopher J. Panella, Senior Associate

Chris brings a rich multi-faceted professional perspective to his role as Senior Associate. His 35 years of work experience include hands-on carpentry work, drafting for a civil engineer, and working in the systems furniture industry, as well as 28 years in building design and construction. Chris came to Thriven Design with deep expertise in market-rate and multi-family housing for national and local development companies.  Once aboard, he was able to expand his focus to affordable housing for families and older adults. Chris now leads the design and construction of affordable housing for seniors and families. He has also applied his skills to adaptive re-use and asset preservation projects in recent years and always takes the initative to mentor others.

Tammy Schiavo, AIA, Senior Associate

With more than 35 years of experience in the architectural design field, Tammy brings an array of skills garnered from projects for both public and private clients, spanning a variety of building typologies, including commercial/retail, multi-family, historic preservation, rehabilitation, and renovation. Tammy serves as our Quality Control leader at Thriven Design, and clients and colleagues alike benefit from her deep knowledge and ongoing research of codes and standards.

Richard A. Carbone, Senior Associate, Senior Director of Business Strategy

As Senior Associate and Senior Director of Business Strategy at Thriven Design, Rich brings a wealth of experience in strategic marketing and business development spanning over 20 years in the A/E/C industry. In his role as a part of leadership, Rich spearheads Thriven Design’s growth initiatives by developing and implementing strategies to enhance the company’s marketing and brand identity.

With his deep understanding of the core markets, client needs, and industry best practices, Rich goes beyond just leading marketing efforts. He also advises on business development and manages strategic initiatives that align the internal team towards achieving business growth and increased brand recognition.

Cynthia Del Rossi, LEED® AP, Associate

With twenty-four years of architectural design experience,  Cynthia has worked on projects in numerous affordable housing design sectors during her tenure, including multi-family, senior and supportive housing, both rehabilitation and new construction. Cynthia is an expert on supportive housing and serves as the leader of Thriven Design’s Supportive Housing studio. She has worked extensively on the development of housing for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as the chronically homeless, veterans, troubled youth, and other specialized supportive housing. In addition to being a LEED AP, Cynthia holds a Bachelor in Integrated Arts, with a focus in Historic Preservation and a minor in Architectural History from the Pennsylvania State University.

Jonathan Hicks, AIA, WELL AP, Associate

Jonathan has more than 16 years of experience in architectural design, including mixed-use, commercial planning and construction, multi-family residential, hospitality, higher education, charter schools, banks, and data centers. Jonathan is a WELL accredited professional, with mastery of the WELL Building Standard and strategies promoting human health the built environment.

Natalie Tucker, MBA, Associate, Controller

With nearly 20 years of experience i­­n the business operations of Thriven Design, Natalie provides expert management and direction for the finances of the company. In addition to establishing, monitoring, and enforcing our financial policies and procedures, Natalie oversees all accounting, billing, payment, money management, tax reporting, and record-keeping for firm activities.
