Celebrating the Grand Opening of Stockton AC’s Second Residence Hall
Thriven Design joined Stockton University, Atlantic City Development Corporation (AC Devco), and other project partners on Wednesday, May 3, for the ribbon cutting ceremony of Stockton University’s second phase of student housing in Atlantic City. Thriven Design provided architecture and interior design services for the project, which will be open to students in time for the 2023-2024 academic year. We are honored to have partnered with Stockton to expand their presence in Atlantic City as they continue to make a positive impact in the community.
Stockton Atlantic City Phase II is an important milestone in the expansion of Stockton’s footprint in Atlantic City. It introduces a new 135,000 SF six-story building with a total of 416 beds and suite-style living. Most rooms feature four single beds, a common area, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen. The building also houses operations and student-life amenity space, as well as student lounges, a meeting room, business center, and laundry facilities. The prime location of the residence hall was not missed in the design as it provides students with views of the beach, Boardwalk, and O’Donnell Park.
Stockton University’s presence in Atlantic City has been a catalyst for urban renewal and moving the city towards a future of being more than a casino industry hub. Stockton Atlantic City Phase II sits on Atlantic Avenue, Providence Avenue, and Hartford Avenue, and is only two blocks from the first phase of buildings that comprise Stockton’s initial presence in Atlantic City.
This great accomplishment in Atlantic City is a testament to the hard work and dedication of those who are tirelessly committed to providing top-notch housing for students. Congratulations to the entire project team.
