Thriven Design salutes Adenah Bayoh, 2025 New Jersey Future Leadership Award Recipient

Members of Thriven Design’s leadership and project teams were happy to attend New Jersey Future’s Smart Growth Awards on Thursday, Oct 9, to honor developer Adenah Bayoh as the recipient of the 2025 Leadership Award for her ongoing commitment to community investment and neighborhood revitalization in New Jersey.

Adenah Bayoh is the first Black woman in New Jersey to secure a New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) 9% low-income housing tax credit. Through her Foya Development corporaton, Bayoh has created more than 100 units of affordable multifamily housing in Newark, NJ, alone, including Springview and Southside View apartments. She has revitalized properties in Irvington, NJ, including the former site of the Irvington General Hospital, and is also leading a homeownership project in Atlantic City, NJ, that emphasizes homeownership as a way to establish equity and generational wealth.
