Thriven Design is excited to share the news that construction has begun on Daniel B. Green House, a new senior living residence in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Our team was proud to be on site alongside Federation Housing, Inc., Robin Wiessmann, Executive Director of PHFA, representatives of Bensalem Township, the Green family, and other project partners to celebrate this long-awaited project milestone.

Thriven Design is providing architectural, engineering, interior design, and energy consulting services for the new, three-story residence, which will expand Federation Housing’s affordable senior housing in Bensalem Township, PA. The addition of these 60 apartments will double the number of units available to local seniors desiring to age in place, in proximity to their friends, family, clubs, cultural institutions, and places of worship.

Currently the property is home to Florence E. Green House, an affordable senior residence which opened in 2013 and for which Thriven Design also provided professional design services. The Daniel B. Green House residence is designed to complement the aesthetic design of Florence E. Green House and foster a vibrant community in which residents of both buildings are able to socialize and enjoy shared amenities.

Daniel B. Green House is named in honor of the late Chairman of Firstrust Bank, a local philanthropist and original Board member of Federation Housing, Inc.. Florence E. Green House was named in honor of Daniel’s beloved wife of 66 years, who was the matriarch of the Green family.
