Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering
A facility’s heating, ventilation, and cooling systems are key to the successful long-term operation and health of buildings and their occupants. When designed properly, HVAC systems provide a functional, comfortable, and healthy environment in which occupants can live, work, and play. Our team of in-house engineers and energy experts is thoroughly experienced in the design of systems both large and small that result in the reduction of energy consumption, are easy to operate and manage, and meet the project budgets.
Electrical Engineering
From power generation and electrical power distribution systems to energy conservation, life safety and security, a building’s electrical systems are crucial to its successful day to day operation. Whether from mission critical equipment, such as emergency generator sizing and fire alarm system layout, to normal daily functional layout of devices, such as lighting, receptacles and switches, Thriven Design’s team of electrical engineers and designers ensures efficient, state-of-the-art electrical systems design in every project we take on.
Plumbing Engineering
A functional plumbing system is critical to the every day operation of a building. Our plumbing engineers produce designs that ensure the delivery of clean water to occupants, efficient building waste and storm water drainage from a building, and natural gas supply to appliances. In addition to these typical building systems, they have experience with a breadth of systems ranging from stormwater reclamation systems and green roof drainage, to compressed air and medical gas systems.
Fire Protection Engineering
Fire suppression systems can provide protection to building occupants and the building itself in the event of a fire. Our engineers provide performance specifications to describe the system requirements to ensure that contractors are bidding “like for like” on the same installed system. Basis of design requirements can be developed specifically for your project to provide wet-pipe, dry-pipe, anti-freeze, or clean agent fire suppression systems, standpipes, and fire pumps. Whether there is a public water supply or on-site water storage is required, system requirements can be produced to meet your building’s needs.
With absolute consistency Stephen Finkelman has provided me, and our clients, with forward thinking, technically proficient and economically feasible MEP solutions for a broad range of new and adaptive re-use building projects.
